Resulting in a Conservative win.
- Prince William marries Kate Middleton. Many OLCS students and staff watched this historical event along with 2 billion people worldwide.
- May 2, Canadians went to the polls to elect Canada's new Federal Government. A conservative majority was elected with Stephen Harper as Prime Minister. The NDP is now the official opposition with over 100 seats. Green Party won their first ever seat
