- Dikes by Portage la Prairie were cut creating a controlled breach. Only 4 houses have been affected by the breach. Farmers are unhappy with temporary accommodations.

- Two men fell into Assiniboine River at Winnipeg while boating. One man has drowned and another man is facing charges.

- 65th Anniversary in Israel was disastrous. 25 people were killed and 28 people were injured.

- Bin Laden supporters were protesting against Americans.

- Play Station is back in Business and Sony will try and improve there security system.

- Four Canadian soldiers were injured when their helicopter crashed in Afghanistan.

- Mr.Hartman is engaged!!!!

- On May 12 Manitoba celebrated its 141st birthday.

- Assiniboine River is expected to crest between today and Wednesday in Brandon.

-NHL Playoffs are now in semi-finals.

- Finland won the World Championship in Hockey.

- Manitobans are starting to receive their MPI cheques.
