  • Japan has raised nuclear security level from 5 to 7. Seven being the highest, but imply it is not as harmful as Chernobyl.
  • Egyptian president Mubarak is in the hospital (heart condition) as he is being investigated for unnecessary violence against protesters.
  • Prime Minister Steven Harper stressed during last nights debate that a majority government is a must to operate as an effective government.
  • Riverton, North East of Winnipeg, is flooded due to an ice jam.
  • Oak Lake Badminton singles team went to divisionals in Elkhorn. Today doubles and mixed are going to Virden.
  • School choirs sang at Virden Arts festival yesterday.
  • Molson Canadian commercial was filmed at the lake in late March. Locals participated (hockey players).
  • April 7th, grade 6-8's traveled to Winnipeg to see the opera "The Magic Flute".
