February 2nd, 2010 -Samantha

HHT-February 2nd, 2010-Groundhog Day

-In Nova Scotia and one centre in USA their groundhog saw his shadow, meaning they will have six more weeks of winter. In Manitoba, Manitoba Merv, a puppet groundhog from Oak Hammock Marsh, did not see his shadow meaning we will not have six more weeks of winter, and we will get an early spring!

-In Vancouver, as they prepare for the Olympics- they are suffering from unusually warm temperature- Pineapple Express, They are helicoptering in snow from Mountain Tops and Building. Events with a straw/hay base. This is costing a lot of extra $$.

-Melissa Hollingsworth (Cady and Bailey's cousin) will receive Calgary's award for top Athlete of the Year today. She will not be able to attend because she is already in Vancouver preparing for the Olympics!

Today we received our test back. The Low was 55% and the High was 98%! WE made history, everyone passed!
