Social Studies Update Term 3 May 29, 2014
 This term grade 7/8's each completed the Mega Mega research project. This project involved choosing an ancient civilization, reading the textbook, making notes, researching, creating a power point and presenting. From this project we learned to time manage, work hard, make notes, have good manners and have fun presenting! As a class we enjoyed learning about the different civilizations, their clothing, food, culture and way of life.
 Following the research projects we are studying a lot, preparing and writing quizzes and tests on these Mega Mega research projects. We have one more quiz on the Middle Ages timeline on June 3rd, we need to study hard!
We will study all of our old tests from all the units and prepare to write our exam on June 12th!
It has been a very busy, fast school year!

two things i learned today in social studies:

one- i learned that people are still trying to find out what pharaohs head is on the Sphinx in Egypt.

two- i learned that in Nigeria people are fighting the government to stop girls from going to school, and go to deep measures to have only boys in school.
