On Saturday April 4th , 2011, Maci tore down her house. After they tore down their house they burned with a controlled fire. The house had a lot of memories. On June the 14th, they brought in a new trailer from Mc Dirmand Lumber. The new trailer is quite a bit smaller than the old house.

On Tuesday, October 18th, exotic pet farmer, set his animals loose in the city. The animals had to be put down.

- Thursday October 13 the Raptors played their first volleyball tournaments. The girls team: The Grade 7's won all games, Grade 8's won all losing only to our Grade 7's. Boys team: won 1, tied 1 and lost 2 games. Go Raptors Go!

- Not since the dust bowl time has United States been so hot and dry. over 80 percent of Texas is going through drought conditions scoring o the highest category on the United States drought monitor scale. The average temperature over the past 3 months has been 30.4 degrees Celsius only 18.6 cm of rain has reached the state. The drought has caused wild fires. More than 5.2 million dollars has been lost in livestock and lost crops.

- Brandon University strikes- At BU faculties have gone on strike. About 240 professors, librarians and associates have been on strike since Wednesday. About 3000 students have been affected by the strike. Classes have been canceled for some of them. Some students will suffer as a result of this strike.

-Power will be out in Wawanesa this afternoon. Manitoba Hydro has announced the outage which will also affect CKLQ's transmitter.

- The flooding started in May 2011 in Burlington and by June it came to Minot. There was 4 000 homes affected. The National Guard was called in to help dike, relocate people to shelters and prevent looting. People are still living in shelters waiting for trailers and lots.

- Steve Jobs, co founder of Apple Computer Inc. has died at the age of 56 from cancer. Steve helped design ipods, iphones, ipads and Apple computers. Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak opened and started to sell computers in1976.

- Mary Bach sued a Walmart successfully for overcharging her by 2 cents on a bag of sausages. The "Scanner Price Accuracy Voluntary Code" prevents stores from overcharging customers they must charge the lowest price for the product or give the item to the customer free.

- Health Minister Leona Aglukkaq moved to change the classification of energy drinks from natural health products to food products.

- Students and staff at a Winnipeg private school are mourning the death of a teenage boy who collapsed during a soccer tryout on Wed. Oct 5, 2011. Despite use of difibrillators.
